Managing Director

The founder and managing director of Brimis, Andile grew up fascinated by engineering and anything mechanical – wanting to know and understand how things worked.

After realising his dream of a B-Tech (Mechanical Engineering), he started his work in the industry in the engineering departments of various industry giants, including Anglo-Platinum Mines, the SABS, Wabco and Eskom. He also hold various professional certificates in risk-based inspections from Steinbeis Transfer Institute (Germany) and executive development programme certificates (University of the Witwatersrand).

He has over 13 years’ experience across diverse mechanical systems, involving a broad spectrum of engineering products and specifications. His area of specialty is fluid conveyance systems, including compressors, pumps, pipelines and fluid filtration systems.

Andile’s vision for Brimis is one of positive contribution to critical sectors that drive our economy. In growing the company to become an industry leader, he will positively impact and create a new path for South Africa’s next generation of world-class engineering talent.

Andile is an active Exco Member of the Middleburg Chamber of Commerce for 3 consecutive years and heads the Lobby group subcommittee. He also participates on the Steel Forum, Steve Tshwete Local Municipality as LED Forum and in the plenary safety valve testing at the World Valve Forum usually held in Germany.

Executive Director

Moeketsi is the executive director of Brimis Engineering.

A mechanical engineer by trade, Moeketsi has extensive industry experience having worked in renewables focusing on energy-efficiency; in the rail sector (locomotive design, maintenance and operations); and in power generation in various engineering, project engineering, project management and management consulting roles.

Moeketsi has a BSc (Mech Eng) from the University of the Witwatersrand, various professional certificates in risk-based inspections from Steinbeis Transfer Institute (Germany) and an executive development programme certificate (University of the Witwatersrand).

As part of the leadership team, Moeketsi works closely with the technical and project execution teams at Brimis to ensure exceptional project delivery. He is also involved in strategy design and development, enhancing and optimising technical operations.

Moeketsi serves as a co-chairperson for the SAMMA RBI Technical Committee and also  participates in the  plenary for valve maintenance and design at the World Valve Forum usually held in Germany.
